Catching up!!

March has been busy, so I will attempt to catch it all up!

Especially since Spring will get things rolling along again at a break-neck pace.

Here are pictures in no particular order!

Cheer squad. They took these back in October. I know the sun is shining, but you can tell from the funny angle that it is cold. They look cute, but they are freezing!

Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity squads.

In their uniform tops. Too cold for Cheerleading skirts!

Varsity minus one member.

All of Varsity.

Varsity & Junior Varsity squads.

 Hmmm, Tacey looks short here.
Go figure.
And our favorite cheerleader!

Dallin & McCade have been playing Basketball with the city. They get together on Friday nights and practice skills for a half hour, then split into teams and play. They have had a good time.

(Thanks to my friend Mindy for the pictures, mine didn't turn out nearly so well!)

Always the entertainer!

He runs with such ease, I am jealous.

We also traveled to Boise to the State Basketball Tournament.
The boys in the family went to watch basketball, I went to try to finally get some good action cheerleading shots.

This is what they call a rally. Cheerleaders do it a lot. Tacey says it is the part that feels the most awkward.

Pyramids.

This jump is a hurdler. I know she is short, but look how high she is! She is just as high as the 5'8" girl next to her.

More rallying.

And this is her flying.

There are lots of people to catch her, thank goodness.

And this is why they call it flying!

I went down on the floor to get some up-close pictures.
Wow. The school mascot, his name is boomer.
Yes, he is a potato.
Go figure.

There was also a talent show the cheerleaders performed at.

Yes, they drop her here.
It was kind of a controversy. But we choose not to think about it.

And she sang at the talent show as well.
Not to add a disclaimer, because I think they are cop-outs, but she had only worked on this song for a week. Add to that the fact that she was gone for 4 of those days at State Basketball. She did a good job. We are still working on the song, she will do it even better when we actually have a chance to work on it.

And since no one ever gets to see what I do, this is another one of my students. A little girl with big pipes; loads of talent. The thing I like best about her is that she works her tail off for me. She doesn't take anything for granted.

And on that musical note, we will be done for now!
