Easter 2010

The kids are getting older, and Easter is still something we have fun doing, but it is not the candy-filled event it used to be. Now I find that we have meaningful conversations on the REAL point of Easter. It is nice to see them growing up and becoming compassionate people. Of course, that compassion doesn't necessarily apply to each other, but I am hopeful some day it will.

We had an eventful weekend; church was something we could watch on TV, but we didn't get much opportunity to do that as Shane's beloved Grandmother passed away Saturday Morning. We spend a good deal of the weekend taking care of things others couldn't, and getting ready for the necessary events. We finally got to dying our eggs around 10:00 Saturday night. It was okay though, the kids seem to have inherited my body clock - so 10:00 is actually better than 6:00! (Unless you are Shane, of course!)

All ready for the morning hunt! (Tacey has deemed herself to old to hunt, so the Easter Bunny helps her out and just leaves all her 'loot' in and around her basket for her.)
Tacey and her Easter surprises!

Dallin and his surprises!
McCade and his surprises!
There are still funny hunting moments, even though they are not the little children they once were. There is still SOMETHING that has to be found by Mom - because a Mom can find ANYTHING!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!
